Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie
- 2 Pet-Ritz Pie Crust From Freezer
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 Cup Light Brown Sugar
- 1 Cup Light Karo Syrup
- 1½ Teaspoons of Vanilla
- 1 Pinch of Salt
- 1 Cup Chopped Pecans
- ½ Cup Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
Combine the butte,r sugar and syrup in a mixer bowl and beat on medium speed until well mixed. Add the eggs, vanilla and salt; continue to mix until well blended. Add the pecans and chocolate chips, stir well.
Pour into an unbaked Pillsbury Pet-Ritz pie crust and bake at 350°F for about an hour. The top puffs up a little and begins to split a little on top when it's done.
Use the other pet-Ritz crust to cut out cookie cutter shapes to decorate the pie for any season. Cut the shapes you want and sprinkle them with sugar and bake hem for about 12 - 14 minutes. Add them as decorations to the top of your pie.
